3-24-06 Europe day 3: History assembled

Go over analysis sheet as a class. If absent, do your own analysis using the sheets we have used in class.

Group work with your literature group

Complete the group work sheet together. If you are absent you will need to contact your group to see what you can do to help with the history display.

Lesson:
Read “The necklace”

If absent you can read it on-line and write your own analysis sheet based on the sheet for "The Last Lesson" from last class. You can find the story at:

Explained class participation grade. You receive 4 points a day based on participation. If you are absent you will need to make up these points through work done at home that you can show me.

$10 charge for lost book. You have to return your book for a grade.

History assignment explained

Explain how to divide work between the group

In groups, decide who does what for the board design

HMWK: Guided reading of the history. Answer these questions tonight based on your packet. If you are absent, find your packet tomorrow on my desk at Sheldon in the IHS office.

What are the main ideas of your literary movement (philosophies, tenets, etc)?
What was the historical l time period?
How did the historical context give rise to this literary movement?
Who were the major authors of your literary movement?
What are interesting things about your movement? (recipes, etc)
Take notes on all the sections. Wwillll stamp these notes for next time.
